Large Panel Chemical Etching
In the contract manufacturing setting of the chemical etching industry, the primary obstacle to large panel processing lies in the ability to UV light image such large panels. In response to this constraint, Lancaster Metals Science custom built a 24" x 144" printer.Some of Our Current Large Panel Chemical Etching Production
With this large imaging capability, Lancaster Metals routinely addresses customer requirements for "over-sized" parts. Currently in production at Lancaster Metals are:
- linear encoders that are over 100 inches ( 8.5 feet ) long
- flexible circuits that are 120 inches ( 10 feet ) long
- heater elements made from .001" and .002" stainless steel that run between 60
inches and 84 inches ( 5 to 7 feet ) long
- phased array antennas that are 54 inches ( 4.5 feet ) long
- a .003" stainless steel part that is 18" wide and 144" long
