Photo Chemical Etching
At Lancaster Metals Science, we have committed ourselves to providing our customers with innovative engineering, the highest precision, uncompromising quality, and unparalleled customer services. Precision, quality and value begin with engineering. Lancaster Metals' engineering staff offers metallurgical and design assistance.Photo Chemical Etching Advantage
Low cost CAD generated tooling, photo-plotted with up to 1/16 of a mil resolution, assures consistent quality and precision. We can receive part specifications by blueprint or by electronic media.
Production of photo chemically etched metal parts on a wide range of materials including:
Flexible manufacturing capability allows the production of a few prototypes as well as high volume production runs.
- Copper, beryllium copper, phosphor bronze, brass, mild steels, 300 and 400 series stainless steels, precipitation hardening steels, aluminum and its alloys, nickel, monels, inconels, kovar, molybdenum, and nickel-iron magnetic alloys with high permeabilities.
- We can also process metal foils with thicknesses less than .001" to metal sheets with thicknesses up to .125".
All manufactured parts are subject to rigorous dimensional and visual inspections. Applying the principles of statistical process control and statistical quality control assures our customers of the zero defect standard for quality and precision.
Our facility features up-to-date manufacturing equipment. Our photo chemical etching department operates five etch lines. Four of the etch lines feature dual chambers and etchant regeneration. The dual chamber etchers are based on Chemcut® 547, XLI, 2002 and 8000 platforms. The 2002 and 8000 lines feature reciprocating spray manifolds, the latest in high precision etching technology.
The plant incorporates all the necessary environmental controls including a waste water treatment system. Our full-time environmental engineer assures that Lancaster Metals Science is in complete compliance with all applicable federal, state and local regulations.
Secondary Operations
Offering many additional secondary operations such as heat treating, forming and precious and non-precious metal plating, Lancaster Metals Science becomes the single source for all your photo chemical machined metal components requirements.
